You score in two ways: during pegging you take turns playing cards to a running total, earning points for hitting 15, 31, pairs, or runs. In the show phase, you count combinations from your hand plus a shared starter card. The dealer's bonus 'crib' hand adds real strategic depth to every deal.
How to Play
Deal 6 cards to each player. Discard 2 to the 'crib,' a bonus hand only the dealer scores. Cut one card from the deck as the starter. If it's a Jack, the dealer gets 2 points right away.
During pegging, the non-dealer plays first. Take turns playing cards to a running count up to 31. Hit exactly 15 for 2 points. Reach 31 for 2 points. Pairs score 2 points. Runs score their length. Can't play without going over 31? Say 'Go.' In the show phase, count combinations from your 4 cards plus the starter: fifteens (2 each), pairs (2), runs (length), and flushes (4-5). First to 121 points wins.
