About this Game

Random Pixel Defense is a fast, pixel-art tower defense built around merging. Draw random towers, fuse three-of-a-kind into stronger ones, and hold a single winding lane against 60 rounds of escalating monsters. No download, no signup — play instantly in your browser on Stone Online.

Inspired by Random Dice, every run is different: you never know which tower a merge will hand you, so you adapt your strategy on the fly. Nine tower types — from armor-shredding Archers to board-buffing Sages and armor-cursing Witches — combine into wildly different builds.

Play solo to chase your best round, or jump into real-time multiplayer: defend together in Co-op, raid each other in PvP, or share one wave seed and outlast your rival in Survival.

How to Play

You start with 220 gold on a board of cells. Click an empty cell to Draw a random Common tower (the draw cost rises as your board fills). Unspent gold earns interest each round, so banking pays off.

Combination is the heart of the game: gather 3 towers of the same kind AND same tier, then Merge them into a single tower one tier higher — but its kind is re-rolled at random (Random-Dice style). Tiers run Common → Rare → Epic → Legendary → Mythic, each a huge damage jump. You control when to merge, not what you get.

Every tower has a passive special, and unlocks a Skill at Epic plus an Ultimate and a Talent at Mythic. Spend gold to Enhance a whole tower kind (+18% damage), or sell towers you don't need.

Enemies attack across 60 rounds with a boss every 5th. The instant any enemy completes a full lap of the track and returns to its start, you lose — so nothing can slip past; everything must die within one lap. Each wave has an armor type and each tower an attack type (Pierce, Siege, Magic, Normal): match them for a big damage boost, or watch it collapse without the counter. The next wave's armor is telegraphed during prep, so build to match it. Survive to round 60 to clear.

Game Modes

Single Player
Play solo against 60 escalating rounds. Choose Easy, Normal or Hard and chase your best round.
Co-op
Team up with another player in real time to defend against the same waves together.
PvP
Build your board and send units down your opponent's lane to break their defense first.
Survival
You and your rival face the identical wave seed at the same time — whoever survives longer wins.

Armor & Counters

One Lap = Defeat
If a monster circles the whole track and returns to its start, the game ends immediately. Let nothing slip past — every enemy must die within one lap.
Attack-Type Counters
Tower attack types and enemy armor lock together like rock-paper-scissors: Light↔Pierce, Heavy↔Magic, Medium↔Normal, Fortified↔Siege, while Unarmored takes anything. The right counter boosts damage hugely; the wrong one — especially Pierce or Magic into Fortified — collapses it.
Wave Themes & Bosses
Every prep phase telegraphs the next wave's armor. Early waves are a single type, but late waves mix two or three armors, so no single tower kind can hold them. Rush waves periodically concentrate one armor, and each boss arrives with a different armor — line up the matching counter in advance.

Armor Types

Unarmored
Unarmored No weakness · any
No special weakness — every attack type lands at 1×. Fast fodder like Wisps, Slimes and Zealots are unarmored, so just out-damage them; no counter needed.
Light
Light Weak to Pierce
Takes 2× from Pierce (Archer, Sniper) and 1.25× from Magic. Wolves, Goblins and Mimics are Light — a couple of piercing towers melt them fast.
Medium
Medium Weak to Normal
Weak to Normal (Poison) at 1.5×, but Siege only does 0.5×. Soldiers, Crabs and Yetis are Medium — a siege-heavy board struggles here.
Heavy
Heavy Weak to Magic
Takes 2× from Magic (Mage, Frost). Knights, Giants and Iron Knights are Heavy — without magic towers they tank a huge amount.
Fortified
Fortified Only Siege works
Only Siege (Cannon, Bomb) bites, at 1.5×; Pierce and Magic do a feeble 0.35×. Golems and many bosses are Fortified — without siege you can't kill them within one lap and lose.

Towers

Archer
Archer Pierce · strong vs Light
A fast piercing attacker that stacks Sunder, raising a target's damage taken. Skill Volley sprays arrows at many enemies; ultimate Arrow Storm rains an arrow zone.
Cannon
Cannon Siege · strong vs Fortified
Slow, heavy siege shells that splash and can stun. Skill Heavy Shell drops a cratering AoE blast; ultimate Bombardment carpet-bombs the lane.
Mage
Mage Magic · strong vs Heavy
Magic bolts that chain to a nearby enemy. Talent Aura buffs adjacent towers, skill Arcane Surge adds extra chains, and ultimate Mana Rift creates a zone that amplifies all damage.
Frost
Frost Magic/Slow · strong vs Heavy
Low damage but slows everything it hits. Talent Absolute Zero executes slowed enemies on low HP; ultimate Glacier freezes the whole screen.
Poison
Poison Normal/Poison · strong vs Medium
Stacks damage-over-time poison that melts tough enemies. Talent Plague spreads the poison to nearby foes on death; ultimate Pandemic lays a contagious plague zone.
Bomb
Bomb Siege/AoE · strong vs Fortified
Big splash damage plus a lingering aftershock burn. Talent Chain Reaction makes slain enemies explode, skill Cluster adds sub-blasts, and ultimate Demolition knocks the whole wave back.
Sniper
Sniper Pierce/Snipe · strong vs Light
The longest range, landing critical hits. Talent Executioner instantly kills low-HP enemies; ultimate Headhunter shreds elites and bosses.
Sage
Sage Support · doesn't attack
A support that doesn't attack — instead it buffs the 4 adjacent towers' attack speed and damage. Skill Blessing earns bonus gold; ultimate Golden Age buffs your entire board.
Witch
Witch Magic/Curse · ignores armor
Curses enemies so their armor is ignored — the counter pick for heavily armored waves. Ultimate Grand Curse strips armor field-wide.
